How is the Colour Alliance system Different to known competitors?
Previously,, the general "Seasons" colour analysis categorized your unique colouring into Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. These categories sometimes expanded to a further 12-18 categories. Which does not account for the wide variety of people and their unique colouring.
At Colour Alliance we have 372 seasonal classifications with millions of possible colour combinations. With an individualized system that can provide a high level of precision or individuality. The only thing that is more unique.... is your fingerprint!!!

My interest in Colour began in my teenage years when a friend's mother gifted me the book by Carole Jackson 'Colour Me Beautiful'. This book put forward the theory that everyone had their "perfect" Colours. These Colours would enhance a person's natural glow; enhancing their natural beauty... As a result, they would look Healthy, Vibrant and Alive. Carole used the 4 Seasons to describe the 4 main colour characteristics.
I always loved colour.... even as a young child choosing colour's that horrified my parents. I loved contrasting earthy colour's with bright accents. Receiving the book Colour Me Beautiful was a real eye-opener; I re-read it again and again until it eventually fell apart!
I also developed an interest in Makeup and Fashion at around the same time, this was encouraged by my Mother. Together we attended many makeup parties trying to find the "Perfect Look" for me. This was the 1980's; the era of big hair, shoulders, and bright blue eye shadow. It's not a good look for a teenage girl with golden brown eyes and hair !!!
Fast forward to the late 1990's, having raised my children to their teenage years, my interest in all things Colour and style once again came to the fore. It was at this time where I was introduced to the concept of Warm and Cool skin tones and their corresponding makeup and fashion colours.
In 2009, I commenced a Certificate in Visual Art, it was here that my understanding of colour came together; here I learned to mix paints and combine colour's in a way that was pleasing to the eye.
In 2017; after many years of searching I was introduced to a trained colour consultant. I jumped at the chance to have my colour's "done" At this point I was interested in learning how to do Colour Analysis and combine this with my love of Fashion and Makeup, Investigating ways to study this in Australia.
Then along came Covid!!!!
This put any hope of Studying or working near People on hold. In 2022 It was decided that a Sea Change was in order, Moving from my home West of Brisbane Queensland to the Beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW.
Now Is the time to follow Dreams!
